Weight Loss and Dieting (aka the devil)

I love food,I love to cook, the tastes, the smells, the comfort I get....unfortunately after two children it doesn't like me back...or at least the extra 25 lbs on my backside! Before 2 children 112 lbs.... after my second child was born I weighed in at a whopping 178 lbs! Mind you I am barely 5' tall there is no place for that weight to go, before my husband and I got married I started eating healthy and working out and got down to about 138... I now sit 2 years later at roughly 140 lbs having already lost 7 lbs this month. I find myself falling off my diet and exercise routine far to easily so I have decided that I am going to be blogging about it, hoping that putting in the universe will help keep me to it! Tomorrow will be my first official day of my new lifestyle and I will be posting a dreaded "before" picture eeeeek!

As far as my eating habits go I stumbled upon a website called skinnytaste.com about two weeks ago and have been doing my meal planning mainly with her recipes and omg they are amazing! I can honestly say that these are delicious meals that I feel good about serving to my family and are all very child friendly....or at least my children :)

Until tomorrow XOXO

Drugstore Makeup

A Little About Me
Lately I have been using BareMinerals foundation in Light (I have combination skin and Bareminerals doesn't irritate or break me out), my skintone is medium/light with a very yellow undertone, Finding a foundation that matches my skintone can be difficult, I am about 2 hours from a Sephora Ulta or really any "beauty counters" unless I want to purchase makeup online...which for foundation....I would really rather not..I usually grab something from the drugstore and wish for the best! Bareminerals is full coverage for me and even with its irridescent "glow" from the silica in it, I find that it looks less like my natural skin then say a liquid foundation so I went on a mission to find some new products at my local drugstore!
This is what I found....

New from Loreal, Magic Lumi Illuminating Primer, Revlon Photready Foundation in Medium Beige, Revlon Photoready Concealer in light/medium and FabuBrow by Jordana brow pencil....oh and some crap eyelash curler which is already in the garbage because the metal lip would more likely trim then curl my lashes....Review on these products soon.  XOXO Stefanie

A Day With My Daughter

What a wonderful day! Its such a blessing when I get to spend some one on one time with my children and with the holidays being so busy, sometimes that is a hard thing to do! We had such an amazing afternoon! If you are interested in learning some fun tips and tricks for hair color or nails keep reading!

My daughter already had  a small foil of her hair bleached from the first time I had done this so for her this is merely a touch up.

RAINBOW HAIR COLOR
Starting with your palette- I am using Paul Mitchells Ink Works a temporary color, when mixing temporary color I like to use a piece of scrap paper to test my formulations, Basic knowledge of the color wheel can help you to achieve whatever color you want!

I applied my color being mindful to not overlap to much muddying the color and ruining the sharp rainbow effect we are going for, each section of color being roughly 1 1/4 inches long. Carefully adding a foil on top for protection and let it sit for about 15 minutes, afterwards rinsing but not washing!
Voila! She is such a cutie!

Glitter Nails

Any shades of color and glitter will work but I used OPI's Pink of Hearts, Feelin' Hot-Hot-Hot, Top Coat and Base Coat. The pink glitter is just craft glitter from the dollar store! 3 colors for a buck, what a steal!

First applying a base coat and a coat of the darker shade and let dry, then one nail at a time applying the lighter shade and glitter to each nail while the polish was still tacky for adhesion, after a moment lightly pressing the glitter to make the surface smoother, afterwards applying 2 layers of top coat!

Hope everyone a healthy happy new year!
